VoIP Inc. Granted Preferred Distributor Status for Corinex Communications30 January 2005
VoIP, Inc. announced that Corinex Communications Corporation has granted Preferred Distributor status to the Company's subsidiary, DTNet Technologies. This elite designation came after the companies signed a Distribution Agreement to distribute Corinex's AnyWire Connectivity® networking products and Corinex's IP Telephony solutions throughout the United States. Corinex is the leading manufacturer of networking products that transmit data over a premise's already-existing cable infrastructure (electrical, phone line, and coaxial cables) and via powerline to wireless connections. In-stat/MDR has shown Corinex to be the worldwide leader in the HomePlug® (powerline networking) market, with a 48% market share. Corinex is also dominating other markets such as HPNA3.0, and the new 200Mbps Powerline market, designed to meet future Universal Powerline Alliance (UPA) standards. Leading price to performance IP telephony products such as VoIP Phones, SoftPhones, and VideoPhones, rounds out Corinex's rich product portfolio.
"We are very excited about our partnership with Corinex Communications as they are the market leader in the distribution of voice, video, and data, throughout a premise. The new 128 and 200Mbps products are one of a kind. The good news is that these products eliminate most of the cost and the coverage pitfalls of pulling new wiring or deploying wireless technologies," said Greg Bernhart, VP of Business Development for DTNet Technologies.
Corinex's line of AV products gives telecoms, cable operators, and system integrators the ability to stream multiple channels of high definition digital video in a premise over existing electrical wiring, phone lines and coaxial cables. With speeds of 2 to 4 times that of wireless, the Corinex AV product portfolio is the only true alternative to expensive and cumbersome structured wiring.
"VoIP Inc. intends to be a leader in Broadband and VoIP over Powerline technology products and services. We have committed additional resources and personnel to ensure our success," added Bill Burbank, VoIP Inc. COO. "VoIP Inc. is looking forward to complementing our wide range of VoIP technologies, products and services with the high quality Corinex's VoIP and Video over IP offerings."
"The Triple Play - video, voice and data distribution within an entire premise is here today. Operators, system integrators, and corporate users alike are finally able to benefit from rich multimedia applications distributed throughout an entire premise without pulling new cables," stated Brian Donnelly, Corinex Communications Director of Business Development. "When Corinex evaluates and approves a new Distributor, we review the company's past track record, future growth potential as well as their financial, technical and customer service resources. VoIP Inc. and their wholly-owned subsidiary, DTNet Technologies, passed our stringent requirements with flying colors. They are truly what we were looking for; which is a value-added Distributor of high technology products and services. Their large customer base in the cable and telecom industries is also very impressive."
