Tronsrue III is currently Co-Manager of Jericho Fund, an investment and consulting company. From January 2000 to March 2004 Tronsrue served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Monet Mobile Networks, a Seattle-based WISP (wireless Internet service provider). Prior to Monet Mobile, Tronsrue was President and Chief Operating Officer of XO Communications (formerly NEXTLINK Communications). At XO, Tronsrue oversaw the company's entry into twenty major domestic markets, its initial entry into broadband services, and (as President and CEO of XO Communications International) its progression into major international markets. George M. Tronsrue III was appointed to the board of directors at InfoSpace, Incorporated INSP in February 2003.
Prior to his tenure at XO Communications, Tronsrue was Chief Operating Officer and an member of executive management with ACSI (American Communications Services) (e.spire Communications Group) where he was responsible for building out the internet data and fiber infrastructure in their first 30 markets.
At e.spire, Tronsrue built and managed the first eight cable TV joint ventures for Teleport Communications Group and was also part of the initial senior management team at MFS Communications where over five years he was responsible for the build out and operations of MFS's eleven initial markets and their collocation initiative with the FCC (Federal Communications Commission). He has also served in an executive role with MCI Communications, Midwest, now (Verizon Business). A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy, George M. Tronsrue III is the Co-Founder and CEO of ICEntertainment. Mr. Tronsrue serves on the board of several private companies and charitable organizations.
As Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of Monet Mobile Networks Mr. Tronsrue raised $83 million in equity financing to build America's first commercial code division multiple access CDMA 2000 EVDO (evolution-data only) network. Throughout his career Mr. Tronsrue has been responsible for strategy, deployment, sales and marketing, financing and engineering for large public and private communications companies. An honors graduate of West Point and former Captain in the United States Army, Mr. Tronsrue has a Bachelor of Science, Applied Sciences and Engineering and an Engineer Training Certificate from the state of Pennsylvania.
