Today TexVoice, a Dallas-based Voice over IP (VoIP - or broadband telephone) service provider announced its service offerings in over 100 communities throughout Texas. TexVoice provides home telephone services utilizing next-generation technology that utilizes the customer’s existing high-speed Internet service. By connecting a telephone to an Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA), and then connecting this device – which is provided at no additional charge – to their high-speed Internet connection, a user is able to make and receive phone calls over the TexVoice network. The TexVoice network enables its customers to have the same use and functionality as they are used to.
TexVoice is priced very competitively, with two main offerings for homes. The first includes unlimited incoming calls, and 500 minutes of outgoing calling throughout the US and Canada, and is priced at $14.99 per month. The second option includes unlimited incoming calls and unlimited long distance throughout the US and Canada for $29.99. Both TexVoice packages include many of the features that the telephone company provides, call waiting, caller ID, 3-way calling, voicemail, and even keep their present telephone number, at no additional charge.
