Toshiba's McGrath to Keynote ITConference & EXPO Fall 2005

Toshiba America Information Systems Inc., Digital Solutions Division (TAIS DSD), today announced that Mac McGrath, director of sales, National Account Program/Government Systems, has accepted an invitation to present a keynote address at TMC's INTERNET TELEPHONY(R) Conference & EXPO Fall 2005 being held Oct. 24-27, 2005, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Focusing on "Trends in IP Market Acceptance," McGrath's keynote address is open to all registered attendees and will take place Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005, at 9:15 a.m.
"In my presentation on marketplace trends in IP acceptance, I am drawing on the trends and experiences of our Authorized Toshiba Dealers at more than 800 locations throughout the United States," McGrath said. "From their experience, we have identified trends in decision-making criteria, real-life usage, and how enterprises are making the transition to IP telephony.

He also oversees international distribution and support through the National Account Program. McGrath has more than 35 years experience in telecommunications, IP and mobile communications sales and marketing.
Toshiba Hosting Dealer Panel on VoIP
McGrath will also moderate a panel of IP telephony resellers titled, "VOIP from the Trenches: Real Life Successes," being held on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005, at 11:15 a.m. The panel will feature David Case, president & CEO of smplsolutions of Lake Forest, Calif.; Bill Taylor, president of Taylored Systems of Noblesville, Ind.; John Zeller, president of ATS Communications of Concord, Calif.; and Suzette Key, director of the Interconnect Division at NTS Communications Inc. of Lubbock, Texas. The panel will discuss experiences in deploying VoIP in a variety of industries, from the RFP and decision-making process to installation and bottom-line results.
Toshiba Presenting Educational Session on VoWiFi
David Fridley, senior product manager for Toshiba IP Telephony Solutions, will present a stand-alone educational session titled, "Keys to Successful WiFi Telephony Implementation," being held on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005, at 8:30 a.m. In this session, Fridley will educate the audience on WiFi in a VoIP application, what it is, how to tell if the wireless network is ready for voice, advantages of WiFi, WiFi vs. traditional wireless phones, WiFi vs. cell phones, and the future of WiFi.
Toshiba Represented on Vendor VoIP Panel
Fridley will also participate in IT Expo's vendor panel titled, "Battle for the SMB Enterprise," which will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005, at 11:15 a.m. Fridley will join representatives from other leading IP telephony vendors in a panel moderated by Tehrani, president/group publisher/group editor-in-chief for TMC. The panel will cover issues including how to choose the correct IP-PBX, forklift vs. migration strategies, service and support, security, and much more.
