Telephony Magazine and Shorecliff Communications today announced four keynote speakers including Mark Kaish, vice president of Next Generation Services for BellSouth, who will deliver the opening service provider keynote address at their upcoming VoIP conference. Other keynote speakers include Mark Pugerude, senior vice president of marketing and business development for Broadwing; Jeffrey Citron, co-founder, chairman and CEO of Vonage; and Frederick M. Lax, president and CEO of Tekelec.
VoIP: Telephony - Strategies, Technologies and Profits will feature executive presentations and panel sessions that address the opportunities and challenges facing service providers from the growth of VoIP. Co-produced by two leading providers of media in the telecommunications industry, the event takes place June 6, 2005, at the Westin Michigan Avenue - Chicago, just prior to the opening of exhibits at SUPERCOMM 2005.
In addition to keynote presentations, VoIP: Telephony - Strategies, Technologies and Profits will feature two afternoon educational tracks with sessions intended to help service providers determine both technical and business strategy. Last year, over 250 executives attended this one-day pre-SUPERCOMM conference, which featured presentations and exhibits from over 30 VoIP industry leaders. The 2005 event is again supported by Signature Sponsor Tekelec.
"As VoIP services become more mainstream, service providers will need to ensure that their offerings are not just about cost, but also deliver quality of service and opportunities for additional revenues from both residential and enterprise customers," said Mark Hickey, publisher of Telephony and Wireless Review magazines. "This conference will give service providers valuable insight into the VoIP developments and strategies that are directly impacting their networks and business."
"This year's conference will feature a strong line-up of speakers most relevant to the service provider attendee," said Paul Diemer, vice president of Shorecliff Communications. "The VoIP landscape has changed a great deal over the past year and VoIP: Telephony - Strategies, Technologies and Profits will deliver insightful and thought-provoking sessions featuring executives on the cutting edge of this technology."
