Smart Link Enables Mobile and Cordless Phones to Utilize VoIP Services

Smart Link today announced the release of its TLink(TM) Personal VoIP Gateway Solution that enables OEMs and ODMs to build low cost VoIP Analog Telephone Adaptors (ATA). The TLink(TM) solution enables soft-phone, PC voice chat application and IP-PBX users to make and receive free or low-cost VoIP calls using their existing cordless and mobile phones.

"Our TLink(TM) is the first in a series of solutions that will enable intuitive and comfortable VoIP connectivity anywhere within a home or an office, as well as in a mobile environment."

With the release of its TLink(TM) Personal VoIP Gateway, Smart Link is revolutionizing the ATA market by delivering bridging and forwarding functions not found in other solutions. The forwarding function enables "Follow Me" capability and the bridging function enables features such as conference calling between VoIP and PSTN (public switched telephone network) calls. Mobile phone users can remotely dial into TLink(TM) and utilize the built in interactive voice response (IVR) system to make free or low-cost VoIP calls, and have incoming VoIP calls forwarded to their mobile phones anywhere.

Smart Link's TLink(TM) Personal VoIP Gateway Solution is comprised of the TLink(TM) chipset, software, drivers and global reference design. The reference design and samples are available today directly from Smart Link. End-user products based on the TLink(TM) technology are expected to be in the market for the back-to-school season.
