New President and Executive Vice President Tapped by ServiceCentral Board of Directors24 April 2005
ServiceCentral Technologies announced the transitions of Daniel O’Hara to President and Steve Teel to Executive Vice President of Business Development, Sales and Marketing. They have been chosen to lead the ServiceCentral expansion into new offerings of Hi-Tech Service and Support Solutions. Dan and Steve both have been key members of ServiceCentral’s executive team as VP of Operations and VP of Business Development respectively.
O’Hara started in software and technology with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) then moved to S1 Corporation in Atlanta as VP of Management and Marketing. In 2002, he founded BirdDog Systems which is a remote monitoring technology for small business and homes. Daniel O’Hara holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Purdue University.
In his new role as President, Dan stated "I am looking forward to the opportunity to take ServiceCentral beyond its traditional focus on Telecommunications and Cellular service in to a broader market for IP Connected devices such as Digital Set Top boxes, Media Server, VOIP phones."
Before joining ServiceCentral, Teel was founder and president of SourceWireless.com, served as President of EPS Wireless, Inc. and Division President with Arch Wireless. He has also held management and IT roles with BellSouth Mobility, Bell Atlantic Paging and Medaphis Corporation. Steve Teel holds a B.S. in Information Technology from Jacksonville State University.
"We are seeing increasing requests from our telecommunication and cable industry customers who are actively working to solve the service issues related to the ‘Triple Play’ (Content, Telephone and Internet) in the emerging digital home.” EVP Teel went on to say, “To meet these requests, we are expanding our solutions platform to provide next generation service support utilizing the IP network into homes and businesses.”
