New Global Telecom Receives Frost & Sullivan's Customer Value Enhancement Award21 July 2005
Frost & Sullivan will present New Global Telecom, Inc. (NGT) with the 2005 Customer Value Enhancement Award at tonight's third annual Customer Value Enhancement Awards Banquet for its tremendous accomplishments in the managed wholesale Internet protocol (IP) telephony service market.
Through technology innovation and leading customer service, NGT has substantially grown its customer portfolio since the Company officially launched its 6DegreesIP managed wholesale IP telephony service in January 2004.
NGT's hosted IP telephony services enable service providers to tap into the growing opportunity for business and residential voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) services rapidly and cost-efficiently. Currently, NGT boasts over 40 wholesale customers including competitive local exchange carriers (CLECs), Internet service providers (ISPs), application service providers (ASPs), data network providers, tier 1 U.S. carriers, and tier 1 non-U.S. carriers.
"Some of the factors that have impacted NGT's growth positively include its long-standing reputation and experience delivering outsourced voice services and network management solutions, the breadth of its product portfolio, and the uniqueness of its advanced hosted IP telephony solution," says Frost & Sullivan research analyst Elka Popova. "It is, however, the company's attention to customer feedback and focus on post-sales support that truly differentiate it from the more complacent incumbent carriers."
NGT's 6DegreesIP product suite is based on BroadSoft's BroadWorks IP telephony platform, which offers major competitive advantages such as scalability, reliability, and session initiation protocol (SIP) support, along with advanced features such as auto attendant console and shared call appearances. NGT can implement a solution in less than 90 days in most situations, enabling rapid launch and delivery of VoIP services. The company provides significant support for each implementation, including a dedicated account manager and extensive training and support services to ensure a smooth service launch.
NGT's 6DegreesIP service enables service providers to offer their customers savings as high as 50 percent per month compared to traditional key or PBX systems, without extensive investment in equipment or expertise.
Continuously innovating, NGT rolled-out seven major product releases in the last eighteen months, which deliver aggressive functionality to service providers and their end users. Based on customer feedback, NGT has added conferencing, a substantial IP origination/termination footprint with 800 service and international service, an integrated Microsoft Outlook and Internet Explorer Toolbar application, integrated retail OSS, G.729 support, state-based billing, trunk replacement, and additional CPE device certifications.
"NGT's product roadmap includes direct input from service providers, gathered both formally through such mechanisms as regularly scheduled 6DegreesIP customer advisory board meetings and informally through direct input received from customers by account management and product management staff," adds Popova.
Overall, NGT's tight focus on customer needs and demands is the key to its success. Based on NGT's success with the 6DegreesIP service so far and its roadmap for future service enhancements, Frost & Sullivan believes that NGT is well positioned to grow its customer base further and remain one of the leaders in the managed wholesale IP telephony market.
Frost & Sullivan presents its Customer Value Enhancement Award to the company that has demonstrated the ability to expand its customer base while maintaining the existing installed base through innovative value creation and enhancement strategies in its industry. The Award recognizes successful sales entry, customer acquisition and service strategies, and the degree to which they have met customers' stated needs and requirements.
Held in Boston, Frost & Sullivan's Customer Value Enhancement Awards Banquet honors world-class companies for their outstanding performance and achievements in customer care. An annual event, the banquet recognizes innovative developments that are expected to significantly improve customer interaction and contribute to customer satisfaction.
