Netcentrex Announces IPCentrex(TM) One: Turnkey Hosted Telephony for Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs)24 May 2006
Netcentrex Inc., the leading enabler of converged voice-video-data networks and next-generation services, announced today the Americas availability of IPCentrex(TM) One, a turnkey solution for the deployment of hosted telephony services that allows service providers and their resellers fast and profitable entry into the burgeoning IP Centrex market for Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs). Geared to enterprises with fewer than 20 or so employees, the launch of IP Centrex(TM) One represents an Americas adaptation for a solution previously announced for the EMEA market. "The SMB market is one of the fastest growing areas of Voice over IP (VoIP) and represents just under 50 percent of all information technology spending," noted TMC's President and Editor-in-Chief Rich Tehrani. Despite the market opportunity that they represent, small businesses have historically had specific communication needs that have made them too expensive for most VoIP service providers to serve. To enable VoIP service providers to benefit from this untapped potential, Netcentrex created IPCentrex(TM) One as solution that not only simplifies the provisioning interface and installation process, but also streamlines the entire supply chain. For example, SMBs can receive drop-shipped and pre-provisioned IP phones and self-install without any support from the service provider hosting the VoIP equipment. They can then add lines and manage their telephony features from a simplified web-based Self Care Portal for the end user. IPCentrex(TM) One includes Customer Premise Equipment (CPE), Integrated Access Devices (IADs) and/or IP phones that are pre-provisioned, and works with existing phones and fax terminals. The CPE terminals are all detected by automated discovery with automatic configuration of the features. Because of the simplified installation, IPCentrex(TM) One services can be activated in approximately one hour from the time IP Phones or IADs arrive at the enterprise. On the service provider side, there is a single provisioning screen that is adapted to the business model of each reseller or for multiple third party distributors and retailers. A pre-integrated rating system enables rapid deployment by alternative operators who may not be familiar with VoIP. Web- based account configuration and management simplifies and optimizes service delivery. "Our extensive knowledge of the hosted services market has allowed us to build a turnkey solution for SMBs that provides significant leverage for hosted service providers. It enables resellers, virtual service providers and retailers with limited expertise in networking and VoIP technology to deploy and provision telephony services fast, inexpensively and profitably," said David Michaud, CEO of Netcentrex Inc.
