Mind Commerce Announces Two Reports and Planning Tool on Voice over Wireless LAN-VoWLAN27 January 2005
Mind Commerce has released two new reports on Voice over Wireless LAN (VoWLAN) products and services and an operational planning tool. The documents provide the knowledge and tools necessary to understand and capitalize on the critical shift from wireline to wireless and from circuit-based to packet-based voice communications.
The intended audience for this research and planning package comprises investors, suppliers, service providers, consultants, and regulators in the VoIP, WLAN, and VoWLAN markets.
The VoWLAN Fundamentals report covers how to design, integrate and maintain a VoWLAN system. In addition to surveying the technical and business issues involved in the convergence of VoIP and WLAN, this report can assist in planning the business case for a VoWLAN deployment.
A companion report, VoWLAN Network Planning and Operations, provides an in-depth analysis of the technical and business challenges associated with the planning, design, implementation and ongoing operations of a VoWLAN network. This report addresses topics like traffic engineering and capacity planning, bandwidth management, security and privacy.
The Broadband Wireless Network Planning Toolbox provides the tools to engineer and plan a broadband wireless network using technologies such as Wi-Fi or WiMax for voice as well as data communications. The Toolbox, designed by a broadband wireless engineer, is intended for use by non-engineers as well.
The package costs $1995, a $1490 savings over purchasing the reports separately.
Don Flanagan, Chief Editor for Mind Commerce, said, "Reflecting our experts' decades of experience in network design and operation, this package combines useful information on the technologies, discussions of business and technical issues, and worksheets for hands-on network planning."
