Kagoor Networks' Session Border Controllers to Enable Global VoIP Using Unique VoiceStick30 January 2005
Kagoor Networks announced today that i2Telecom International, Inc., an emerging leader in voice/data communications technology for the Internet, has deployed Kagoor's VoiceFlow(TM) 1000 series session border controller in a high-availability, redundant configuration to deliver global VoIP service over its SIP-based network. Kagoor helps i2Telecom's customers to instantly make domestic and international long distance calls via the Internet using its recently announced VoiceStick(TM) portable Internet phone device. VoiceFlow 1000 session border controller in the high-availability configuration is the most economical carrier-grade session border controller on the market. This configuration provides i2Telecom with maximum reliability for session border control applications. It solves the NAT traversal problem and greatly simplifies the configuration of i2Telecom's microgateway adapter behind NAT devices like cable and DSL modems. Kagoor's network protection solution also provides i2Telecom with added network security.
i2Telecom is a low-cost telecommunications service provider employing a SIP-based network to deliver global VoIP service. This enables its customers to make worldwide calls using its award-winning VoiceStick(TM), a portable Internet phone device that converts any Internet connected computer into a local phone. Once the VoiceStick(TM) is installed, a dial pad display enables the user to call any telephone in the world directly from the computer at a fraction of normal long-distance rates.
"Kagoor has the most experience with our VoIP service in the session border controller marketplace today," said Paul Arena, chief executive officer of i2Telecom. "Their features matched perfectly to our requirements and gave us the most value for our money."
With over 100 worldwide customer deployments, Kagoor's award-winning VoiceFlow series is the most powerful and scalable family of carrier-grade session border controllers. VoiceFlow is the leading solution for hosted NAT traversal, VPN/VLAN aggregation and network protection for hosted IP telephony services like IP Centrex and managed IP PBX.
"i2Telecom's innovative technology is paving the way for worldwide expansion of VoIP," said Opher Kahane, CEO and co-founder of Kagoor Networks. "Kagoor is pleased that our technology helps i2Telecom to seamlessly deliver secure and reliable VoIP to its customers."
