IPTELDirect Adopts Mission Statement to Become Leader in VoIP in Latin America7 December 2004
IPTELDirect Inc. (Pink Sheets: IPDT) announced today its corporate mission statement to become the leader in WiFi connectivity throughout Latin America by Q4 2006. They have engineered a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) hand-set, which will be ready for introduction in Q4 of 2005.
Efren Baldeon Jr., president and CEO, stated, "Our VoIP handset will give us the strategic tool to rapidly gain market share in the highly populated hot zones that are concentrated in such cities as Mexico City; Lima, Peru; and Panama City, Panama, where potential customer base exceeds 20 million individual, business and government telephone subscribers. Our revenue stream is multi-channeled, capturing the maximum income potential in each market.
"First, we will sell VoIP handsets at prices varying from $50 to $200 depending on the customer's chosen configurations and upgrades. Our benchmark is to have 5 million handsets in the market by Q406.
"Second, we will sell pay-as-you-go and monthly subscription contracts to uplink to our WiFi network. Subscribers will have a menu of subscription choices ranging from fixed minutes to unlimited calling both within local calling areas, as well as over 220 international connections. Since our billing cycle is based on the pay-as-you-go model along with monthly billing, we will have a daily and monthly income cycle of recurring revenue. Our benchmark for WiFi connectivity fees is based on the standard subscriber package generating in excess of $25,000,000 per month by 4Q06 with additional revenues from long distance revenue sharing and other cost-basis markups.
"Third, we will build out our own WiFi hot zones in specialized markets. In addition, on a contract basis we will build out WiFi hot zones for businesses, hospitals, schools, police, fire, utilities, and other governmental agencies on a city, state, and countrywide basis. Because the WiFi hot zones can be configured to provide Internet and World Wide Web access, as well as VoIP telephony, our income stream will be further enhanced through contracting fees, software licensing fees, hardware sales, maintenance contracts, and network subscription fees. Our benchmark for building out WiFi hot zones in Latin America is 1,000 by Q406."
