Indiana Firm Launches Voice over IP (VoIP) Service, Partners with Covad for Virtual PBX5 February 2005
CompStar Technologies, Inc., announced that it has been appointed as an authorized Voice over IP Dealer by Covad, a national leader in Voice over IP (VoIP) communications. CompStar and Covad are teaming up to offer industry leading voice over IP solutions, like the vPBX ™ Virtual PBX, which allows companies to eliminate their costly phone switch hardware and related maintenance costs. Sometimes knows as "IP Centrex" or "virtual phone switch", this technology replaces complex phone switch hardware with simple routers; calls travel over standard network cabling to IP phones .
