Hugh Symons Reaches into VoIP With Intertex's Groundbreaking IX66 and IX6727 February 2005
Hugh Symons Telecom and Intertex are proud to announce their partnership, giving Intertex access to the UK independent channel for the groundbreaking IX66 and IX67 products and broadening Hugh Symons Telecom's voice and data proposition into VoIP.
In this exclusive distribution and fulfillment agreement, Hugh Symons Telecom will provide support for the supply and sale of Intertex's complete product range including the IX66 and IX67 products into the independent channel with dedicated product management. The IX66 is a combined router, firewall appliance and ADSL modem which is the ideal solution for advanced users and SMEs with up to 30 users to deliver VoIP. It sits between the service provider and the network hub which allows users to connect any type of IP phones or Softphones on the LAN. It is this flexibility which is groundbreaking in such devices.
Hugh Roper, Managing Director Hugh Symons Group, said of the distribution agreement: "This is a natural progression for our Telecom business which has been developed to support the traditional IT and Telco reseller channels. VoIP is coming of age and products such as the IX66 will help to stimulate demand.
