eWAN 1 Completes Acquisition of Voice Over Internet Equipment Prior to August 15 Start of Service22 July 2005
eWAN1, Inc. (Pink Sheets:EWAN), announced today it has targeted August 15, 2005 to commence Voice Over Internet Protocol service, which, while eventually available globally, will initially be marketed to small-to medium retail businesses in the U.S., including the SOHO (Small Business -- Home Business) environment.
William J. Kettle, CEO of eWAN, in commenting on the Company's newest array of services, revealed that Barry Epling, a well-known entrepreneur in the telecommunications industry, was the catalyst in eWAN's $200,000 VOIP acquisition, in which his company's stock was valued by both parties at ten cents per share. Kettle said, "Barry Epling, in his acceptance of two million shares of our stock, has confirmed that our shares are undervalued, which we at eWAN have known for some time. His endorsement of our future is a powerful indication that our business plan is sound and proceeding according to plan."
On June 28, 2005, eWAN announced it had signed a Letter of Intent to acquire High Desert Wireless Broadband Communications, LLC (HDWBC), based in Mojave, California. HDWBC provides advanced data interconnectivity solutions to homes and businesses from the Tehachapi Mountains to the Mojave Desert, the location of Edwards Air Force base. Following eWAN's Due Diligence, the transaction is expected to close no later than August 15, 2005.
"We are now turning our attention to procuring content," Scott Kettle, eWAN's Chief Technology Officer, noted, "which we will offer to our subscribers as part of our enhanced menu of services."
