Dash911's E911 Service for VoIP Providers Goes Live January 4, 20063 January 2006
Dash911 Solutions, one of the few companies offering E911 for VoIP providers, announced that it has passed final testing and is now certified to 'go live' with handling of E911 calls. FCC regulations require that all VoIP providers must have E911 emergency calling services automatically available to all subscribers, and Dash911 helps VoIP providers to meet FCC requirements. Dash911, unlike some other E911 solution providers, is "telephone number provider agnostic" meaning that it can provide E911 services to any :SA telephone number, at any :SA address. Michael Giagnocavo, CTO explains "Dash911's architecture offers coverage to any telephone number, and with our SOAP API interface, we can quickly implement a VoIP provider within ten days." In January, Dash911 will be activating its 24x7 call center for address changes nationwide. "Our relationship with our backbone provider allows us to provide an incredibly rich service, because they are the largest and most experienced company in the emergency calling services field," according to Sales Engineer Denise Ferrara.
