Cybersurf Corp. to Offer Local Voice and Voice Over Internet Protocol Services

23 June 2005

Cybersurf Corp. ("Cybersurf") (Vancouver:CY.V - News), one of Canada's leading independent Internet service providers and Internet technology companies, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Call-Net Carrier Services ("CNCS"), a division of Sprint Canada Inc. ("Sprint"), that will enable Cybersurf to offer low-cost local telephone service and related features over a traditional wireline telephone platform. The service is expected to be offered initially in the following major metropolitan areas throughout Canada: Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Calgary, The Greater Toronto Area, London, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph, Barrie, Ottawa-Gatineau, Montreal, Laval and Longueuil. It is Cybersurf's intention to start offering these services next quarter.

The new agreement will enable Cybersurf to bundle the new local service with its existing long distance and Internet offerings, thereby competing directly with the incumbent telephone companies for such service bundles. Cybersurf expects to be able to offer the new bundles at prices that are significantly lower than those at which the incumbent telephone companies offer similar packages, thereby holding to its objective of being a value-added service provider.

In addition, Cybersurf is also announcing that it will also be rolling out a voice over Internet protocol ("VoIP") telephone service offering over incumbent cable carrier facilities. This new offering will combine the provision of high quality local and long distance voice services using Internet protocol technology to Cybersurf's high-speed Internet customers that receive that service over a cable platform. The new VoIP service is expected to be comparable in quality and feature to similar services being rolled out by some of the incumbent cable carriers, but Cybersurf expects to offer its service at a significant discount relative to the corresponding cable carrier offerings.

"These new planned services are the first of a number of new voice services that will fit well with our mission to provide Canadians with a low-cost alternative to all their Internet and telephone services," said Paul Mercia, President and CEO.

Both the traditional local services and the new VoIP services will be delivered through a number of Cybersurf subsidiaries that already provide Internet and/or long distance telephone services.
