In January of 2005, Cisco Systems® announced the addition of the Cisco Certified Voice Professional (CCVP) to its professional-level certifications. CCVP was created due to the demand by customers and channel partners for knowledgeable network professionals who can design, install, configure, operate and support complex Internet Protocol (IP) telephony systems.
Field engineers, network engineers, systems engineers, telecommunications equipment installers and others, who currently design, install, configure and support IP telephony solutions, private branch exchanges (PBXs) and voice-mail systems are the focus of this certification. Individuals who earn a CCVP certification can help create a telephony solution that is transparent, scalable and manageable.
