Casema Selects SupportSoft to Simplify VoIP Deployment

8 June 2005

SupportSoft, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPRT), a leading provider of Real-Time Service Management (RTSM(TM)) software, today announced that Casema, one of the Netherlands' leading cable service providers with 1.4 million customers, has chosen SupportSoft service automation software to simplify and automate the rollout of its digital phone service using VoIP technology.

The launch of Casema's digital phone service, planned for this June, will offer "triple play" (voice, video and high speed data) product bundles to the company's subscribers. Casema already uses SupportSoft solutions to automate "zero touch" provisioning for high-speed data services, as well as remotely monitor cable modems for nearly 300,000 high-speed data subscribers.

With the use of the SupportSoft solution, Casema can now offer its customers "zero touch" voice provisioning, allowing customers to set up VoIP service by themselves, as well as simplify the process of technician-assisted
installations. This can not only help to speed the installation of VoIP service, but create more satisfied customers through speedier, more reliable service deployment. In addition, because SupportSoft software is built using
European standards, including EuroDOCSIS, Casema customers are well-positioned to receive additional value-added services that Casema may choose to provide in the future.

A recent Gartner survey(1) among 1,000 broadband users in Western Europe concludes that triple play is here to stay, but warns that it may not immediately boost operator revenues. Gartner advises operators to " ... concentrate on building and maintaining long-term customer relationships rather than short-term market share gains." The report further states that demand for triple play services is strong, with cost, convenience and speed as the top three criteria for purchase of triple play services from one provider.

"Casema is experiencing increased pressure to keep its operating costs low and our customer satisfaction levels high. In order to reach our goal of acquiring 750,000 VoIP customers within five years, we needed a solution that
would help us to make VoIP installation easier and faster for our customers, while helping us to keep costs down at the same time," said Andrei Noppe, vice president of network operations at Casema. "In our highly competitive market, we not only have to provide the most up-to-date services, but we must provide our customers with a superior level of customer service. SupportSoft gives Casema a competitive advantage by helping ensure our customers are satisfied beginning at the time of initial installation."

"Casema represents a forward-thinking service provider which realizes that the introduction of new service offerings must go hand-in-hand with forethought about the customer's experience. We are looking forward to
helping Casema create a simpler and more satisfying customer experience for their digital voice service," said Chris Grejtak, senior vice president of products and marketing at SupportSoft. "Our work with Casema is the latest example of how SupportSoft can enable digital service providers around the world to realize the promise of triple play service delivery."
