Calypso Wireless Appoints Chief Technology Officer to Ignite Delivery of its Dual Mode WiFi-GSM-GPRS VoIP Cellular Phone

Calypso Wireless, Inc. (PINK SHEETS: CLYW), a leader in advanced wireless telecommunications technology announced today that it has appointed Akshay Sharma, formerly Siemens (Frankfurt Xetra: SIE) Chief Architect Mobile Enterprise Solutions to serve as Calypso's Chief Technology Officer and spearhead implementation of Calypso's patented technology on the C1250i WiFi-GSM-GPRS VoIP smart cellular phone. Calypso's C1250i, which runs on Intel (NASDAQ: INTC) PXA series application processor and Microsoft WinCE 5.0 (NASDAQ: MSFT) operating system.

Mr. Sharma worked for over sixteen years with global telecommunication companies. He was instrumental in Siemens putting together the largest UMTS, IMS solution in the world with Cingular, a joint venture between SBC Communications Inc. (NYSE: SBC) and BellSouth Corporation (NYSE: BLS), valued at over $ 1 Billion dollars. He was recently awarded an "Outstanding Contribution Award" at Siemens for work on Alcatel's Spatial Softswitch and helped win a potential $65 Million Cisco GGSN at Cingular, as the Siemens Chief Architect for Core UMTS 3G project and UMTS core rollout for 2G and 3G MSC switches. He also served as Director of Business Development for Teliabs Telelogic and he was a member of the Scientific Staff of BNR-Nortel.
