BridgePort Networks Awarded 2005 3G CDMA Industry Achievement Award for Network Technology Innovation

17 September 2005

BridgePort Networks, the leader in MobileVoIP convergence, has been awarded a 3G CDMA Industry Achievement Award. The CDMA Development Group (CDG) selected BridgePort Networks as a winner in the category of Network Technology Innovation, for the company's efforts towards MobileVoIP convergence services. The award recognizes the company's contributions towards the advancement of wireless technology.

The 3G CDMA Industry Achievement Award winners are decided by a first round of open nominations from the industry, and then are screened and chosen by a selection committee comprised of CDG executive officers, representatives from industry associations and the trade media and analyst communities.

"We are honored that the CDG has recognized our work with leading CDMA providers on new services that bring Mobile and VoIP together," said Mike Mulica, President and CEO of BridgePort Networks. "Together with companies such as Kyocera Wireless Corp., a leading member of the MobileIGNITE Alliance, we are committed to bringing integrated, end-to-end open standards-based solutions for MobileVoIP to the CDMA market."

"We congratulate BridgePort Networks on its achievement in successfully developing a solution that fosters the growth of the CDMA market," said Perry LaForge, Executive Director of the CDG. "BridgePort Networks is bringing new differentiated services to CDMA devices, and offers compelling 3G communication to end users."

LaForge presented the Network Innovation Award to BridgePort Networks CEO Mike Mulica at a gala lunch in Miami, during the 3G CDMA Americas Congress on Tuesday.
