ASC Provides New VoIP

14 December 2004

ASC today announced it has sold its new VoIP recording solution, EVOip+ for Cisco, version 2.1, to Transacty, a Slovakia-based provider of complex processing services for cashless payments. The product will monitor several channels per site simultaneously and will be used
for claim management and to help ensure full legal compliance. Additionally, it has met the Cisco AVVID (Architecture for Voice, Video and Integrated Data) Partner Program test criteria for interoperability with the Cisco CallManager 3.3(3).

ASC joined the Cisco AVVID Partner Program as an IP telephony participant to certify and perfect its latest version of EVOip+ for Cisco, version 2.1 for the recording and tagging of VoIP calls with parameters such as agent I.D. or time of transmission. The calls are then stored on a standard Windows or Linux central server.

The Cisco AVVID Partner Program sets criteria for interoperability testing and helps leading product and services firms to deploy innovative business solutions. It provides enterprise customers with information regarding certified partner products and services that the Cisco AVVID partner believes meet the program's criteria for interoperability with Cisco networking technology.

The approved systems expand customer choice with call processing, collaboration, and customer interaction solutions and services. Based on a standards-based open architecture, the solutions provide enterprises a foundation for advanced converged networks.

IP telephony partner solutions complement and extend Cisco AVVID with business applications to improve customer care, lower costs, and increase workforce productivity in call accounting and billing, call processing, unified messaging, ecollaboration, and multimedia customer interaction.

With Cisco AVVID providing the architecture for a highly available, scalable, and unified network, partner products interoperate with Cisco IP telephony productssuch as the Cisco Catalyst® 6000 Series switches, Cisco CallManager, Cisco Media Convergence Server, Cisco Integrated Communications System and Cisco IP IVR.

Patricia Packova, Marketing Manager for Transacty, noted, "We chose EVOip+ for Cisco because, of the currently available VoIP recording products in this very new field, theirs was the easiest to use and integrate, and for a minimum cost with maximum results. We also know, with ASC's 40 years of communications experience, we can rely on them for support and new capabilities far into the future."

"Cisco supports open, standards-based architectures and shares a commitment to interoperable solutions with ASC. Through this vision, the Cisco AVVID Partner Program delivers the power of choice to enterprises the ability to extend the Cisco end-to-end architecture with our participants' solid products and technologies," said Rick Tywoniak, manager of marketing, IP Communications Business Unit, Cisco Systems, Inc. "With Cisco AVVID partner offerings such as EVOip+ for Cisco, customers can deploy a broad range of business solutions that foster innovation and encourage rapid adoption of business-critical technologies."

Transacty selected EVOip+ for Cisco for a new call center after examining a myriad of product combinations. EVOip+ for Cisco monitors RTP/RTCP packets on the LAN and operates independently from the customer's network. The product analyzes the protocol in order to record phone numbers and supports DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol).
